ASX-listed Provaris has commenced front-end engineering and design (FEED) studies, fully funded by Singapore-headquartered floater specialist Yinson Production, on a proprietary liquids CO2 (LCO2) tank that paves the way for future commercialisation.

Under a joint development agreement with Provaris, Yinson will fund 100% of the FEED phase, covering four major engineering and integration packages to be delivered in two phases, with the first deliverables scheduled for December.

The FEED workscope is intended to take Provaris’ proprietary large-scale low-pressure LCO2 tanks from concept design through structural engineering and hull integration design towards commercial and operational readiness for Yinson’s development of a floating storage injection Unit (FSIU) for offshore LCO2 injection.
